4. Do try to keep your content “fresh.” Google has two types of “spiders” which index sites: Freshbot and Deepbot. Each one indexes sites in different ways and on different schedules. Sites which are already indexed by Google and which contain frequent updates (web logs or “blogs,” for example) sometimes see daily visits from Freshbot. Data from this spider and from the deeper crawls of Deepbot provide Google with all the information about your site. Adding new features or products to your site on a regular basis may encourage Freshbot to index your site frequently. Think about adding seasonal features, having a frequently updated news page, or writing a periodic blog (web log) or newsletter related to your business.
